Project Summary
Stalwoth Underground was contracted to install caissons that would eventually serve as the deep foundation for a 74 story Hi-Rise. Overall, we took out more rock in the sockets than expected in order to find solid rock. By utilizing our growing knowledge of rock socketed caissons from our IDOT experience this project was completed without any tremmie pour issues or other delays. In fact, the job came in a couple days under schedule, on budget and without major obstructions or delay time.
