Project Summary

Over 200 driven piles were installed at O’Hare International Airport as a deep foundation for a new United Airlines hangar. Stalworth mobilized two cranes and crews to meet schedule demands and maximize production. Dense gravel and stiff clay layers reaching 80 blows/ft created challenges during pile driving and were remedied by Stalworth and GRL Engineers, who were brought onto the project for dynamic pile testing.
